Dimitrios Patsos, Cyber Security Executive
Dr. Dimitrios Patsos is a distinguished cybersecurity leader with over two decades of multifaceted experience across industry, academia, and global professional communities. As an Enterprise Security Executive at Microsoft, he advises governments and multinational enterprises across Southern Europe on secure digital transformation at scale. His work focuses on the intersection of national security and corporate resilience—designing National Security Operations Centers (SOCs), architecting Zero Trust frameworks, and pioneering AI-enhanced threat intelligence to safeguard critical infrastructure.
Beyond his executive role, Dr. Patsos is a recognized architect of cybersecurity strategy and policy, contributing to the development of national frameworks and cross-border digital trust initiatives. His ability to deliver high-impact security programs in volatile sectors has been consistently recognized by the industry, notably as the 2025 recipient of the ISC2 Global Achievement Award (Senior Professional).
Prior to joining Microsoft, Dr. Patsos held senior leadership positions at premier security integration firms, where he directed large-scale programs across 40+ countries. His tenure in these roles was defined by the successful execution of complex EMEA-wide strategies for both the public and private sectors.
A “Pracademic” with a commitment to foundational knowledge, he holds a Ph.D. in Information Security. His award-winning research in incident response and attack path analysis has directly influenced commercial cybersecurity products and global frameworks. Furthermore, he is the co-author of a primary Greek-language cybersecurity textbook, a cornerstone of current academic curricula in the region.
A lifelong advocate for the profession, Dr. Patsos is the past President of the ISC2 Hellenic Chapter. Under his leadership, the chapter implemented a “Digital First” policy that bridged the Greek diaspora and led to the 2022 ISC2 EMEA Chapter Recognition Award. He remains an active mentor and a strategic supporter of initiatives including Women in Cyber, national awareness campaigns, and university outreach, ensuring the sustained growth and inclusivity of the next generation of security leaders.
