Dimitrios Patsos, Cyber Security Executive
I am a distinguished cybersecurity leader with more than two decades of multifaceted experience across industry, academia, and global professional communities.
In my role as Enterprise Security Executive at Microsoft for Europe South, I advise governments and large enterprises on secure digital transformation at scale. My work spans the design and deployment of national security operations centers (SOCs), AI-enhanced threat intelligence, data protection, and zero trust architectures—helping organizations build cyber resilience in an era of complex, evolving threats. A trusted voice in cybersecurity strategy and policy, I also contribute to shaping national frameworks and cross-border digital trust initiatives. My impact has been recognized through prestigious internal awards at Microsoft for delivering high-impact security programs across critical sectors, and by ISC2 with the Global Achievement Award of Senior Professional for 2025.
Before joining Microsoft, I held senior leadership roles at leading security integration companies, directing large-scale cybersecurity programs across 40+ countries and shaping strategies for enterprises and governments throughout EMEA.
I holds a Ph.D. in Information Security, with award-winning research in incident response and attack path analysis that has influenced commercial cybersecurity products and frameworks. I have also co-authored one of the first Greek-language cybersecurity textbooks, still widely used in academic curricula.
A long-time ISC2 volunteer and past President of the ISC2 Hellenic Chapter, I led a digital first policy to include the Greek diaspora, helping the chapter to win the ISC2 EMEA Chapter Recognition Award in 2022. I actively mentor professionals and supports initiatives like Women in Cyber, national cyber awareness campaigns, and university outreach programs.
